SALAM AIDIL FITRI

Dalam perjalanan ke ofis pagi tadi, penunjukaras minyak hampir tepat di atas huruf E. Lampu amaran pun dah menyala. Secara otomatik teringatkan abah. Dia tak pernah biarkan minyak kereta kurang daripada suku, apatah lagi sampai lampu warning tu menyala! Kalau abah ada, mesti dia dah pot-pet-pot-pet. Jawapan standard saya will be, "takpa aih, satgi isi la." Disiplin. Itulah abah, seorang bekas kapten askar. Dress code dia rasanya tak ada anak-anak yang ikut setaraf.  Itu belum tengok dari segi punctuality atau ketepatan masa lagi. La ni tak ada sapa dah nak kejan kami. Rindu kat  abah tak pernah hilang.

Kereta dengan mileage paling tinggi pernah saya bawak kat Sydney. Ford, Ex-taxi, 717579km.

Dekat nak raya ni, pasti ramai yang nak balik kampung. Kena pastikan kereta dalam keadaan baik sebelum perjalanan. InsyaAllah. Air-cond pun baru servis, siap kena tukar spare-part aritu. Mama aiman dok komplen suruh basuh kereta dari minggu lepas lagi, tapi tak dan nak buat la. Takpa lah, bukannya comot pun kereta kita tu.

Aiman memang minat kereta, especially yang ada spoiler tinggi. La ni dia dah boleh cam beberapa logo kereta. Jadi bila on the road, selalu la keluar dialog di bawah...

 

Aiman: Babah, tu kereta Ford!

Babah: A'ah, sama kereta kita kan!

 Babah: Yang tu kereta apa?

Aiman: mer-say-deez

Babah: Good job Aiman!

Babah: Ha yang tu pulak kereta apa?

Aiman: Tu Honda lah, sebab dia letter H.

Babah: This one?

Aiman: mmm...

Babah: To ___

Aiman: Toyota!

Babah: Pandai.

Babah: Ha car yang big tu apa? B ___ ?

Aiman: BMW!

Babah: Yang gambar bulat-bulat tu?

Aiman: mmm...

Babah: Au ___?

Aiman: AuTa!

Babah: Banyak la hang punya auta! kakaka!

Selamat Berpuasa

Seriously, it has been so long since my last post. A lot of changes occured around me. No more plenty of leisure time as before. Sometimes the work piles up faster then I can handle.


By the way, Selamat Meneruskan Ibadah Puasa di bulan Ramadhan yang mulia ini.


One of the best moments during this fasting month is during the iftar. Ramadhan buffets are everywhere. Cafes and restaurants are also promoting their food. We normally have iftar at home, with home cooked food for main dish and bought some kuih. There's  lot of stalls just along the road in front of our house.


The four of us (only two of them were fasting), went to this new restaurant called Lila Wadi. Situated right beside Kuantan Immigration building behind Jelita furniture shop, facing the river on the way to Benteng area. You can't really see this place from the main road, there's a small entrance before the furniture shop.


They promote their 'set berbuka puasa' which consists of different types of dishes, including BBQ and other things. We opted for roasted duck set. Overall comment: the food was nice, and the cheesecake was marvelous. Surely will be returning again to try other things. I am not sure where mama aiman got the info of this place, but as usual I said OK let's try out.

Tomorrow night we will be having an iftar at a second place we plan to try. Hope it will be worth it.
