Leave nothing but your footprint every time you visit the beach!

As a peninsular, our country is surrounded by the sea. If there is a sea, so there will be seashores, and beaches. While staying in Sydney, we used to go to the beach on weekends just to past our time while watching the scenery and let Aiman played in the sand. What's best, it was free-of-charge.

Wattamolla Beach, Sydney

Still loving it, we are lucky enough to be in Kuantan, it only takes minutes to get to the closest beach. One of the beaches nearby is Pantai Sepat, about 30km from Kuantan city. One thing I like about the South China Sea is the sea breeze, it is always windy. Just sitting under the tree while having some keropok lekor or goreng pisang panas, together with ayaq nyoq (coconut drink) is very soothing and calming.

Pantai Sepat. Nice scene huh!

Nevertheless, the scenery was not as always as you expected it to be. I am not sure why most of our beaches are full of rubbish. For example here, the visitors were not as many as other popular beaches, but the rubbish were scattered all along the beach, close to the bank. You have to be careful when picking up a spot to sit down. I even spread newspapers for us to sit on, and told Aiman not to take off his shoes.

Look at the rubbish; plastic bottles, polystyrene, even glass.

Yes I admit we have animals around, especially here, there are cows and goats roaming the area. But they do not litter or throw the rubbish on the beach! The most they do is peeing and leaving their poo. It is us, the human being, who use plastics and glasses and papers. Please people, take your rubbish home with you after whatever-who-cares thing you do at the beach!

You can sit, lie-down and sleep anywhere you like on a clean beach!

On the other hand, Australia as a continent, is also surrounded by the sea and beaches. The beaches are always full of people, especially in Summer. However, you can hardly find an empty bottle or whatever piece of rubbish. The irony is, over there, the beaches were crowded with people but there were very little rubbish. Whereas here, sampah banyak dari orang!
